Terms
Last changed: 5 October 2026
Guessary is run by Suddenly Sorted, New Zealand. You can write to us at hello@guessary.io. By using guessary.io, you agree to these terms.
Playing
Guessary is free. You can play for your own enjoyment, at home, at work or in a classroom. You don't need an account.
Please don't
- Copy our puzzles, facts or designs in bulk, or republish them as your own.
- Use scripts or bots to collect puzzles or answers, or to send us false counts.
- Try to get puzzles before their day, break the site, or get in the way of other players.
What's ours and what's yours
We wrote the puzzles and built the games, and we own them. Each photo has its own credit and licence, shown under the photo. Your share card is yours to post anywhere.
If you think something on the site uses your work without permission, write to hello@guessary.io.
Your results
Your results and streaks are saved in your browser, not with us. If you clear your browser's data or change device, they're gone, and we can't bring them back.
The emails are optional. Our privacy page says what we keep and how to stop them. The emails are for people aged 13 or over, or the age for agreeing to online services in your country if it is higher.
No promises
We check every fact and list our sources, but a puzzle can be wrong. Tell us and we'll fix it. Don't rely on a puzzle for anything important.
We offer Guessary as it is. We may change a game, pause it or close it, and the site may sometimes be down. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that come from using the site. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to play. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA. If something doesn't work for you, write to hello@guessary.io.
Other sites
We link to sources and photo pages on other sites. We don't run them and aren't responsible for them.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll change the date at the top. If you keep playing, you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms follow the law of New Zealand. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the law where you live.
